Muhammad Munir
Administrative Officer
Muhammad Munir is working at IPRI as Administrative Officer since July 26,
2000. He holds Masters in Defence and Strategic Studies from Quaid –i-Azam
University Islamabad and M. A (Political Science ) from Islamia University,
Bahawalpur, Pakistan. He has vast experience of coordination, research and
administrative work. Before joining IPRI he has worked with an NGO, FRIENDS,
Rawalpindi, Pakistan as Research Fellow and Secretary (Admin) for seven
years (1993-2000).
He has been a member of Editorial Board of a Quarterly Journal ‘ National
Development and Security ‘ for five years. As member of various organising
committees, he coordinated several international, regional and national
seminars in collaboration with UN agencies and other international donor
organisations on issues relating to Peace, Security and Development. His
various articles on matters of national and international importance such as
Nuclear Deterrence in South Asia, Afghanistan, Role of Women in National
Development; and Strategies and Technologies for Environmental Protection,
have appeared in various newspapers and magazines. He co-authored a book
(Urdu) entitled “ Glorious Period of Medieval Muslims in Science and
Technology”.
