Asghar Ali Shad
Research Fellow
Asghar Ali Shad is Research Fellow in Islamabad Policy Research Institute.
Prior to this he was Researcher in Centre for South Asian Studies, Punjab
University, Lahore from 1984 to 1999. He holds Masters in History from Punjab
University Lahore.
He has six books on his credit. His more than 500 articles have been
published in national dailies. He has written more than 600 commentaries and
analysis on Indian politics for television and radio. He also contributed in
discussions on international affairs on electronic media. His research
paper, “Growing Hindu Extremism in India,” has been published as IPRI Paper.
Some of his research papers have been published in precious research
journals.
His area of interest is South Asian Politics with special emphasis on
India’s domestic politics and Indo-pak relations. He has fair command over
Indian languages such as Hindi, Gurmukhi and Sanskrit.
